Shen was the middle child of three children.  Her sister, Heather, who was almost five years older, and Shen were becoming closer as sisters as they both came of age."As we grew older, our friendship grew stronger. I will miss what we could have been to each other,"says Heather.  Jeremiah, on the other hand, who was two years younger than Shen, had always been more of a peer to Shen.  As children they were inseparable.  Thus, the loss of his sister has had a devastating impact on him.  Shen was Jeremiah's mentor and was often able to "straighten him out" during his difficult  periods of growing up.  For both Heather and Jeremiah, the pain of losing their beloved sister will be with them always.
